These tiny elves work up quickly and are so, so cute! With their bendy legs and hips, they sit well on a desk, mantel or shelf. They’re a great size for an ornament too! They’re easily customizable with of possibilities in changing up the colors!

Materials
Worsted Weight Yarn
3mm hook
6mm black safety eyes
Embroidery Floss
Fiberfill
Fabric Glue
Tapestry needle, straight pins, scissors, skewer for stuffing
Optional white ribbon

Size
Gauge is not important to this pattern. The size of your finished product will vary depending on the size yarn and hooks you use. Made with the materials listed, the elf measures about 7 ½” long (including the hat). Using a thinner yarn and smaller hooks will yield a smaller elf. Using thicker yarn and larger hooks will result in a larger elf. An individual crocheter’s yarn tension can also be a factor in sizing as well.

Pattern Notes
The pattern is written for advanced beginner crocheters and beyond (mainly because of the type of terminology used). The advanced beginner is familiar with making amigurumi and understands basic amigurumi crochet terminology and stitches as well as how to sew pieces together, finish off, hide ends, etc. If you are not familiar with all the terms used in this pattern, there are a multitude of tutorials on You Tube that can help.
