Tiny, Easy Garter Stitch Tree Leaf
This is a simple little leaf made with straight needles to use as an appliqué or just to play with.
Gauge is not critical for this project, so the finished size will depend on your yarn and needles. When made with worsted yarn and size 4 mm needles, the leaf will be about 6.5 cms/2.5 inches.
Instructions for an optional stem are included.
For convenience, the pattern has the number of stitches left in the needle at the end of each row. It’s possible to make the leaf smaller by stopping increases at your desired width and then beginning decreases according to the number of stitches you have left on your needle.
If you need video instructions for any of the required skills, i’ve included links to videos you can peruse before tackling the project.
(Sorry the picture is ugly, but I’m not a pro, lol)
