Tiny Hats Project
Tiny Hats Project (Knitting in the Loop)
Associated with Texas Childrenʼs NICU (Lemons and Limes Project)
We are knitting tiny hats for the tiny preemies at Texas Childrenʼs Hospital, Houston, Texas. Most of the recipients are 17-20 weeks old. Our hats should be 5 1/2 - 6 1/2 inches in diameter. The smaller ones will fit a lime and the larger ones, a lemon.
If you fold your hat in half, and it measures 3 1/4 inches, then your hat will be 6 1/2 inches in circumference. I use size 6 double pointed needles to get this gauge. Marilyn uses size 5. So please check your first hat to check your own individual tension.
