Tiny Heart Baby Booties, a cute gift for the cutest baby. The pattern includes sizes from newborn up to 12 months and has a heart pattern on both side of the bootie.

The booties are knitted in the round OR flat on straight needles, both descriptions are included (two PDF files) in the instant download.

FLAT
The booties are knitted flat on straight needles (or circular if preferred), working back and forth before seaming them together. You begin knitting the sole, then move on to the upper part with the heart pattern and finish the work with a rib.

IN THE ROUND
The sole is knitted on straight needles (or circular if preferred), working back and forth and seamed together after knitting the upper part. After finishing knitting the sole, the knitting is joined together with DPNs or the magic loop technique.

Skill level 1 & 2: Advanced beginner / Easy

You will need:

• Straight needles (if knitted flat) in two sizes: US 2,5 / 3mm / UK 11

OR

• DPNs or circular needles (if knitted in the round) in two sizes: US 2,5 / 3mm / UK 11, 32 in/80 cm long

• Yarn (merino wool, wool, acrylic or any other DK/light worsted/8 ply yarn) ie Rialto DK from Debbie Bliss

• Tapestry needle

The pattern includes three sizes - 0-3 months, 3-6 months and 6-12 months.
The booties are knitted in Drops Merino Extra Fine.

I have knitted the booties in two colors:

20 (25) 30 g of Drops Merino Extra Fine
or Rialto DK (Debbie Bliss) Color A
and
6 (9) 11 g of Drops Merino Extra Fine
or Rialto DK (Debbie Bliss) Color B

In yards: 45 (57) 70 Color A and 13 (20) 24 Color B

You can use any other yarn in the DK/8 ply/worsted group. 1 skein of Drops yarn is 50 grams and 115 yards/105 meters. You can even use cotton or acrylic yarn if the yarn can be worked in the same knitting gauge.
