♡Tiny Heart Baby Shoes♡

These tiny baby shoes are perfect for special occasions or whenever you want to dress your little one in something extra cute! Knitted in cotton, they’re ideal for summer outings as well as cozy indoor wear during winter.

The pattern includes sizes from newborn to 12 months and provides detailed instructions for knitting both flat and in the round. A subtle heart motif, made with purl stitches, is found on both sides of the shoes for an extra sweet touch. Use twisted strings or ribbons for the shoes to stay put.

The shoes matches the Tiny Heart Hat, Tiny Heart Mittens, Tiny Heart Booties and Tiny Heart blanket. They are similar to the booties, but has a different method for decreasing stitches.

The shoes are knitted in the round OR flat on straight needles in one piece, both instructions are included (two separate PDF files) in the instant download.

KNITTED FLAT
The shoes are knitted flat on straight needles (or circular if preferred), working back and forth before seaming them together. You begin knitting the sole, then move on to the upper part with the heart pattern before binding off.

KNITTED IN THE ROUND
The knitting is joined together with DPNs or the magic loop technique after casting on the sole and the sole bottom is seamed together after knitting the shoe.

KNITTED FLAT:
Straight needles : US 2.5 / 3 mm / UK 11

OR

KNITTED IN THE ROUND:

These shoes are knitted in 100 % cotton Drops Muskat (1 skein of Drops Muskat is 50 grams and 109 yards / 100 meters).

Yarn substitute suggestion: Cascade Ultra Pima or Valley Yarns Westhampton (100% cotton and equal gauge).

The shoes can be knitted in one or two colors:
One color: Use the same yarn throughout.

Two colors: Knit the sole in Color A and the upper in Color B.
