Use a smaller needle than the yarn specifies. I’ve used 2.25, 2.5, 2.75, and 3mm needles and DK weight yarn with success.

This small heart, knitted in the round using Magic Loop and mere scraps of yarn in the colours of the Ukrainian Flag, can be stuffed with a hanger or left flat with an added pinback. If you are a dab hand at Magic Loop it should take only 20-30 minuted to complete.

The unusual single piece construction and simple finishing means you need only a couple of stitches and avoids the dreaded “Knit one heart. Now Knit another” that most patterns include.
