This is just a tiny little rat and he’s just too cute to resist!

Using a 2.75mm crochet hook and worsted weight yarn, my rat measures about 2 1/2” long (not including tail) and about 1” high. Gauge is not important to this pattern. Size will vary depending on the size of your chosen yarn and hook.

• Worsted weight #4 yarn:
o Pink (I used Red Heart Super Saver; Perfect Pink)
o Light Brown (I used Caron One Pound; Taupe)
• 4mm safety eyes or black embroidery floss
• 2.75mm crochet hook (adjust size according to yarn weight or preference)
• Fiberfill
• Tapestry needle, scissors, straight pins, safety pin, skewer (or pencil with eraser)

The pattern is written for advanced beginner crocheters and beyond. The advanced beginner is familiar with making amigurumi and understands basic amigurumi crochet terminology and stitches as well as how to sew pieces together, finish off, hide ends, etc. In addition, this pattern calls for stitches such as the sl st, hdc and dc. If you are not familiar with all the terms used in this pattern, there are a multitude of tutorials on You Tube that can help. Also feel free to email me with any questions. I’ll be glad to help in any way I can.
