Tiny Star Square
I created this square after receiving my set of 56 balls of Paintbox Yarns Cotton DK. I wanted to make a fun single colour square with my tiny star as the star!
The Tiny Star is a single round 5 point star with a true star shape. To highlight this the Tiny Star Square pattern uses post stitches as rays of light which also lift the star up, making the centre pop.
There are also 2 size options for this square.
Stop at part 1 for a 13cm square or grow it with part 2 for a 17cm square.
My plan is to make one square in every colour of the Cotton DK and join them together into a starry rainbow throw, but this square would be perfect in a single or curated colour palette for a unisex baby or cot blanket.

The pattern uses a variety of techniques, including post stitches and the star stitch - though tutorial links and heaps of photos make it accessible for confident crocheters who are happy concentrating a bit more on a pattern and can follow written instructions.
Yarn: Approx. 35 meters (38 yards) for part 1 and 50 meters (54 yards) through to part 2.
I’ve used Paintbox Yarns Cotton DK for this square.
