Tiny Sweater Ornament
Do you feel intimidated by knitting a sweater? Then this tiny sweater ornament pattern is perfect for you to learn all the basics of a top-down Raglan sweater, without the commitment that a human-size sweater requires.
This pattern is also a great way to use up those yarn scraps you’ve been saving up for a while.
This pattern has been tested by a group of prolific knitters.
Difficulty level: Advanced Beginner.
Needle size: 4mm DPNS or 4mm circular needles for the magic loop.
Suggested yarn: 28 yards/ 13 g of Any category 4 worsted weight yarn. The yarn used in the pictures is Berroco Vintage Worsted.
Gauge: 5 sts x 6 rows in 1 x1 inch.
The gauge is not critical since it’s not a garment that needs to properly fit. If you would like a smaller sweater, use smaller size needles and a thinner yarn (e.g. Sport or DK weight).
Measurements:
Body cast on to bind off 3.5 in x 3.5 in.
Sleeve underarm to bind off 2 in.
Other Supplies:
Stitch markers
Scrap yarn
Scissors
Tapestry Needle
8-inch string
