Make endless variations of these two basic hat styles by using different yarns, ribbons, feathers, buttons and any other odds and ends you have in your craft stash. Wear them as a mini fascinator yourself or make glamorous accessories for your teddies and pets. The top hat style is approx. 7cm tall and the bowler is approx. 5cm tall.

Almost any yarn can be used but it’s probably best to stick within the DK - Aran range. The techniques used are very basic; you’ll need to be able to crochet in the round, single crochet, sc through the back/front loop and slip stitch.

Other than yarn and hook, you’ll need a toilet paper inner tube (to give your topper structure), craft glue, ribbon, and whatever else you want to use to decorate.
