Let’s face it, some yarns just look better knit. I’m not a knitter, so I often use the moss stitch for those yarns. I think it looks similar to knit and allows the colors of the yarn to work in a similar way. I used Willow Yarns Mural for this pattern, though it will work with any size yarn and hook to achieve your desired project.

This scarf is worked from one point to the other (tip to tail). You can create other projects by changing the width and length. Increase less for a skinny scarf, increase more for a shawl or bed runner, or use cotton yarn for a lovely table runner.

My finished scarf is 10” wide and 76” long.

Supplies:

  • 1 cake of Willow Yarns Mural
  • 3.5mm hook OR -Any yarn weight and corresponding hook of your choice

Gauge: 26 st and 21 rows in 4”x4” square (moss stitch)
