Tipsy is rich in texture and colorwork but easy to knit. This shawl was designed using a stunning diagonal mosaic pattern tipped on the bias to create a new vertical design. Stripes are used to separate the simple slipped stitch sections and highlight the beautiful mosaic pattern. The same simple six stitch repeat is used in each mosaic section making Tipsy a fun and easy modern knit!!!

Knit from tip-to-tip, this shawl has tapered ends that create an asymmetrical triangle shape that is easy to wear. The two colorways used are simply alternated every two rows, with only one color used per row.

The pattern includes both charts and written instruction.

Materials - pick two highly contrasting colorways for best results!

Yarn: Emma’s Yarn Super Silky (80% Superwash Merino/20% silk, 400yards/100grams)

Main Color (MC): Greyscale- 350 yards
Coordinating Color (CC): Cally Girl- 400 yards

Needles: US 4/3.5mm 32” circular needles

Notions: Stitch Marker, T-pins and blocking wires for blocking

Gauge: 21sts = 4 inches in garter stitch after blocking. Although gauge is not crucial for this project, it will affect the finished size and yarn requirements. A looser gauge will result in the use of more yarn.

Finished size: 23” deep x 70” tip to tip after blocking.
