Tiptoe Through Tulips
The story:
Every year, the Minnesota Yarn Shop Hop is a ton of fun, and I always get to push myself on the design. This year was no different. With a theme of tulips, I set to work on putting together a fun, lacey cowl that can be worn in the spring and fall to give a touch of warmth while not being too warm.
What you need:
4mm crochet hook
320 yards sport weight yarn - I used Sea Change Fibers in the Coastline Sport base
Stitch markers
Scissors
Tapestry needle
Stitches to know:
sc - single crochet
hdc - half double crochet
dc - double crochet
ex-fpdc - extended front post double crochet. Video tutorial link in the tips/tricks/tutorial section.
4 dc popcorn - Video tutorial link in the tips/tricks/tutorials section
fphdc - front post half double crochet
In the third loop - work indicated stitch in the third loop of the hdc from the row before it
fhdc - foundation half double crochet. Video tutorial link in the tips/tricks/tutorial section.
shell - in the indicated stitch work, 1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc
ch - chain
sl st - slip stitch
