tiramisu
Tiramisu is a long cardigan that’s slightly art deco in style and totally comfortable. It has great flair, and yet it’s practical, too, with deep pockets for all your must-haves. Wrap yourself up in it, and you’ll look great no matter where you wear it. Just ask Melissa!
Melissa is a family friend who was on vacation in Maine when this sweater arrived for its photo-shoot. She loved it so much that she wore it to the swimming quarry with a metallic bikini, out for cocktails with a cotton dress, and for a walk in the woods with jeans. You just can’t go wrong with this sweater. It’s a real workhorse -- and a great addition to any wardrobe.
While it’s a bit spicy to knit, tiramisu is not difficult. The combination of two pattern stitches -- twin rib and lozenge – creates a strong mix of graphic and textural elements. Twin rib along the front band and collar gives the sweater a strong vertical line, while lozenge pattern stitch on the body makes small triangles that give a wonderful texture.
