Tircha Cowl
by Shyama Nivas
This cowl looks like it is worked diagonally. However, it is nothing as complicated as that.
This is part of a set that has a pair of gloves, this cowl and a slouchy.
The word “tircha” means diagonal(ly) in Hindi, तिरछा pronounced “thi-r-cha‟ describes this pattern perfectly. (thir ; ir as in mirror).
This pattern has been tested using :
a) 4-ply fingering yarn (#1), 50 gms / 210 yds ; 4 mm crochet hook ;
b) Garnstudio Drops Alpaca, Sport (134 m / 40 gm) ; 3.5 mm crochet hook ;
Comments :Instructions detailed, photos useful, took approx 8 hrs. A lovely stitch, I think I prefer the reverse!
Skill level by tester : Intermediate
