Tire Tracks is a simple, one skein project that could easily get done in a weekend. It consists of a seed stitch border, and a six row lace pattern that’s repeated throughout the scarf.

I was teaching a knitting class and I wanted to give my students an easy project that demonstrated the three basic decreases (right leaning, centered, and left leaning), but alas, I found no such simple pattern on Ravelry that I liked. So I made up my own--and it was happily well received!

Feel free to use it in classes, and print out as many copies to hand out as you like! Just don’t claim the pattern as your own.
