I love making crocheted beanies and hats for my boys. But when one of them asked me to make him a ninja turtle hat, suddenly my crochet skills were put to the ultimate mommy test. But what a fun challenge!

I think I managed to come up with an inventive but simple construction and crochet pattern. I hope you enjoy this pattern as much as my boys do and that you’ll have some little ninjas of your own to make some for! (You could easily substitute the green for black if you were making this hat for a ninja costume, minus the teenage mutant turtles.)
