I really enjoyed designing this Valentine shawl pattern. These hearts are so pretty and lacy and the granny stitch is such a favorite. They work perfectly together. This pattern is easy and fun to do and works up very quickly! I hope you love it as much as I do!

This pattern is worked from the bottom up and has a 8 row repeat. You can have a lot of fun with color with this design. Or keep it simple. I made two examples of this pattern. One with Lion Brand Touch of Alpaca in color “Blush” and one with Yarn Bee Soft & Sleek in colors “Purple Haze” and “Blush”.

My alpaca shawl is 65” across the top and 29” tall at the center point. I used about 600 yards.
My Soft & Sleek shawl is 69“ across the top and 32“ tall at the center point. I used about 230 yards of purple for the hearts and about 440 yards of pink for the granny stitch.

Skill: Intermediate

Gauge: 12 st and 6 rows in a 4” square (double crochet)

• About 600-750 yards of a #4 medium weight yarn.
• 5.5mm hook
