To Market, To Market Bag
It’s BYOB (Bring Your Own Bag) when you’re headed to the library or Farmer’s Market, so why not show up in a bright MIM (Made It Myself) showstopper? Knit in the round and from the bottom up, this bag is a generous size to fit leafy veggies, an iPad, knitting project, or even a New York Times Best Seller. Toss it into your purse for those times you need a back up bag when you’ve shopped too much, or pop in your luggage and use as a lightweight tote when you don’t want to schlep all of your stuff.
This pattern is knit with a US 6 24” needle from the bottom up and in the round using a provisional cast on method. The bottom is then seamed together using Kitchner Stitch.
There are photo tutorials, chart, and written instructions to help you create this bag.
This was the featured project in PostStitch’s July 2017 BigStitch kit.
