Toasty Mittens

These thrummed mitts will help fend off winter’s chill. Pieces of wool roving are knit right into the mittens for a warm lining. Over time, the heat and moisture from your hands will felt it into a solid barrier against the wind. If you’re not too fond of the hearts all over the mittens, choose roving in the same colour as your yarn. Instructions are for size small/medium (large).
For simplicity while knitting your mittens, make some of your thrums ahead of time. If you’re not sure how this is done, or how to knit them in, there are a couple ways to do it. Check out these tutorials:
