Toasty Travels Beanie
A free version is also available.
Toasty Travels Beanie is an easy to make crochet beanie that whips up quickly. It has a lovely texture and is versatile for wear by all members of the family.
Multiple brim options are provided in the pattern pdf. The basic beanie design and a single brim option is available on my blog.
Pattern Details:
- Beanie Size: Size to preference. Refer to Appendix B Sizing Table as a guide (for standard Child, Tween, Woman, and Man sizes).
- Skill Level: Adventurous Advanced Beginner to Intermediate.
- Stitch Terminology: US – refer also to Abbreviations and Special Stitch Instructions.
- Recommended Yarn: 10ply/Worsted/Cat. 4 weight yarn of any fibre that provides a good stitch definition (i.e., avoid fluffy, feathery, or heavily textured yarns). An 8ply/DK/Cat 3. weight yarn can also be used, if preferred. Example project yarns are provided in Appendix A.
- Hook: Follow yarn label as a guide or use your preferred hook. Swatch and adjust hook if/as necessary to achieve the preferred density of crochet fabric. Slightly looser tension or larger hook than usual may be required to ensure fabric is soft.
- Gauge: Not important for this item – ensure beanie circumference and length approximates the Sizing Table.
- Pattern Synopsis: Constructed working in the round from bottom to top, using a cluster stitch and skipped stitch. The peak is reduced and then cinched. A brim is added next – multiple options are provided.
