Knit yourself a seasonal mini-hot water bottle cosy complete with i-cord fastening and jolly pompoms!

“Toatie” is Scots for “tiny” and is pronounced to rhyme with “hottie”

For the cosy to fit correctly, you need to make sure you have a hand-warmer sized hot water bottle of the right dimensions: viz: 19cm high (from bottom to ‘shoulder’) and 28cm circumference (unfilled).

Techniques involved: knitting in the round; turkish cast on; stranded colourwork; i-cord; pompom making.
Other materials required: 2.5 and 2.75 mm needles; stitch markers; tapestry needle; pompom maker or cardboard)

You’ll need just one 25g ball (120 yards) of each shade.
