About Tobia’s Lovely Suspenders
These trousers are knitted top down with a double ribbed edge at the waist. Short row shaping is used to make space for the backside. The suspenders are knitted on from the waist rib edge on the front of the trousers and are secured with a button on the backside. One to three buttonholes are made in the suspenders, making it possible to adjust their length so as to fit the length of the child’s upper body.

Yarn usage
The original yarn is a good choice for the warmer spring-autumn seasons with its blend of cotton and wool. The blend still allows for the elasticity and shape-keeping effect of the wool while not being as warm as a 100% wool yarn. The pattern can easily be knitted with a 100% wool yarn for winter use as long as the tension is met.

Bukserne strikkes oppefra og ned med en dobbelt ribkant i livet og med vendepinde på bagsiden for at gøre plads til numsen. Selerne strikkes op fra forsiden af buksernes øverste ribkant og fæstnes midt bagpå med en knap. Der strikkes et til tre knaphuller i selerne for at gøre det muligt at justere længden, så de passer bedst muligt på barnets overkrop.

Garnforbrug
Originalgarnet er et blend af uld og bomuld. Ulden gør at striktøjet holder formen og er elastisk mens blendet med bomuld gør at striktøjet egner sig godt til den varmere det af året forår-efterår. Sættet kan sagtens strikkes i et 100% uld garn og dermed gøres varmere sålænge strikkefastheden overholdes.
