This is a PATTERN for crochet only, designed to help you make your very own Toby the Newborn Dragon.

All patterns are written in English, in US terms, using Craft Yarn Council abbreviations.

Toby is all about the hugs! Inspired by a baby doll with a sewn on blanket, this dragon can use his wings to wrap up for his nap. He lays on his back and is perfect for small arms to rock to sleep or push in a baby buggy. This baby dragon fits so nicely in the crook of your arm, it’s impossible not to snuggle him.

Toby the Newborn Dragon Premium Pattern 2.0 is designed to be easy to read. Whether you are a confident beginner or an expert plushy artist, this pattern come equipped with everything you need to succeed. When you are finished with your project you will have learned new and useful skills for your art form and created a beautiful piece to cherish.

Need to Know: chains (ch), slip stitch (sl st), single crochet (sc), half double crochet (hdc), double crochet (dc), back loops only (BLO), Right side (RS), Wrong side (WS), increases and decreases, mattress stitch sewing. Be eager to learn and ready to have fun!

 How to attach parts using pins as a guide
 How to sew flat pieces to round parts using a border
 How to crochet on the surface of a 3D object
 How to merge and branch parts with several branches (fingers and toes)
 How to curve 3D crochet using short rounds

• Red Heart Super Saver yarn, 100% acrylic, worsted weight, 364 yds/7 oz/198 g, Aruba Sea (SEA), 1 ball; Real Teal (TEAL), < 1 ball; Aran (ARAN), < 1 ball.
• G (4.00 mm) hook
• Two 24 mm colored slit-pupil safety eyes
• Polyfil stuffing
• Tapestry needle
• Straight pins
• Stitch markers
