Toby’s felted dog leash came about during our blocks “Dog Days of Summer” event. Each business who participated provided an activity that the community aka something that kiddos could partake in. Thank goodness for Clover’s Wonder knitter, a small i cord knitting tool that is easy to use, perfect for people who have never touched a set of knitting needles. The event was a huge success, had a table full of demo yarn and wonder knitters and everyone got the hang of it lickety-split. I watched as our little kits flew off the shelves. Though the pattern is written for an i cord using US 11 dpns, the original concept used the Clover Wonder Knitter it can be used with any other French knitter, knitting fork and so on.
For those of you who are not using a kit, the kit includes:
Approximately 120 yards of Lambs Pride Worsted in 5 colors (60 yards of black, and 15 yards each of 4 contrasting colors)
One carabiner (purchased from harbor freight)
And 1 stopper (a figure 8 literally cut and hole punched from a rubber tire)
