Todd
This is a pattern for knitting a stuffed toy fox. You can knit the fox on 2 needles or in the round with DPN’s. Both methods are included in the description. The dungaree is knitted flat.
NOTE (for working knit and purl rows): edge stitch (first stitch in each row) - slip the first stitch without working it (unless otherwise stated). This helps with sewing the toy later. The number of stitches in each row includes the edge stitch.
MATERIALS: orange and green DK yarn - approximately: 20 -
30 g in each color
Handful black for the paws and tip of the ears
and white for the face and the the tail.
String of black strong thread for the nose.
KNITTING GAUGE:
24 sts and 28 rows to 10 x 10 cm = 4” x 4” in stocking stitch (knit row on right side, purl row on wrong side) and 2.5 mm needles.
Gauge is not critical for this project. Work tight enough to make sure the stuffing would not show through the stitches.
