This cute pair of toddler size slippers has a wide enough leg opening for your little munchkin to put them on without assistance, but is shaped so it stays on.

I intend to eventually release a paid pattern that will include sizes from infant to adult. Until that time, enjoy this pattern as a free placeholder. This size will remain free even after the other sizes are released.

This pattern makes a pair of slippers that will fit a toddler who wears a size 5 shoe. It is easy to lengthen/shorten by adding/removing rounds after round 17.

Pattern assumes knitter has previous experience knitting in the round, and knitting short-row heels

You will need:
Worsted weight yarn (used held double throughout, use both ends of one skein or 2 separate skeins)
Size 6.5 mm (US size 10.5) DPNs or long circular
Size 10 mm (US size 15) needle for binding off
Yarn needle for weaving in ends

Gauge:
14 sts & 24 rows = 4”
