This is a simple shorts pattern that I created for my son to wear. It uses only simple stitches and is mostly done in grit stitch (alternating single crochet and chain stitches.) I used one skein of ICE Yarns Favorite Ethnic in Turquoise, Fuchsia, Orange, Lilac, Green, White; and a few yards of scrap white yarn for the tie. You could also use an elastic if you wanted.
