Toe Sockies for Casts
Toe only (no heel), tie-on half-sock for people stuck in leg casts with exposed toes. Basic pattern can be elaborated on with any stranded, texture or lacy eyelet design desired.
Sock is knit toe-up and finished with ribbing. Crocheted ties are added to keep the toe sock in place when being worn. Ties can also be done using I-Cord, braiding, or as sewn-on ribbons.
Because this half-sock takes so little yarn (less than a 100 yards), it’s a great use for oddball leftovers. Washable yarn recommended because the sockie will be exposed as the wearer walks around.
