Together Again Cowl
A wonderful way to use up those single skeins, this cowl is knit holding two strands together and creates a fabric with wonderful depth.
Choose a fingering weight or sock yarn, and add a strand of fuzzy laceweight to it. Choose barely related colorways for fun and unexpected results, or tone-on-tone colorways for a more subtle effect. Or, try a lighter sock yarn and a darker lace for a great shadowing in your work.
This pattern is FREE, so use up your stash or try our suggestion, you can’t go wrong!
NOTE: don’t be afraid to block this little project enthusiastically and stretch it out a bit, especially for the small size. It will have much better drape.
Pre-blocking gauge: 24 sts x 35 r = 4”
Post blocking gauge: 18 sts x 35r = 4”
Gauge in stockinette will be very similar to gauge in broken rib pattern.
Yarn requirements: 1 (2, 2) skeins of each, a 100g ball of sock yarn and 50g lace. Small is shown, and used approximately 60% of each ball. YARN IS HELD TOGETHER THROUGHOUT.
