Tokri Shawlette
The ‘tokri’ is the Hindi word for (wicker) basket, and this shawlette is inspired by the basket weave stitch.
This pattern has been tested using :
a) Oswal Mills 3-ply acrylic ; 100g /570 yds ; 4 mm (G) hook; took about 12 hrs
b) Zwerger Garn Opal Inspiration, 4 mm (G) hook; 511.5 yards, 110 grams 1.1 skeins = 511.5 yards (467.7m); took about 12 hrs
c) Premier Yarns Serenity Sock Weight Prints, 3.75 (F); 575 yds/526 m (2.5 skeins)
d) Red Heart Stardust, fingering weight, 4 mm (G) hook, 427.8 yards, 112 grams 2.24 skeins = 427.8 yards (391.2m) ;
e) Knit Picks Palette , 4 mm (G) hook, 582.1 yards, 126 grams 2.52 skeins = 582.1 yards (532.3m)
f) Jo-Ann Sensations Truly Solids , 4 mm (G) hook, 741.5 yards, 169 grams 2.83 skeins = 741.5 yards (678.0m)
g) Lion Brand Sock-Ease (fingering weight), 4 mm (G) hook, 482 yd on body, 88 yd on border (diff yarns used)
