Winter Hat Series: Four

This unisex beanie is named after Tolmie Peak Trail, my favorite hike during my time in the PNW. With two ways to wear it, this versatile hat is the perfect accessory for the outdoors. I envision myself wearing mine when I get on that trail again someday!

Notes

  • This hat is cast on at the brim. Decreases are made toward the top and the final stitches are cinched together with remaining yarn
  • Wear this hat with the brim folded up, or unfolded!
  • I am a loose knitter. If you tend to knit tightly, consider using larger needles.

Yarn and Notions

  • Approximately 80 yards/133 grams of super bulky yarn. Suggested yarn: Malabrigo Rasta (90 yards/150 grams), shown in Cape Cod Grey.
  • US Size 13 (9.0 mm) 16” circular needles
  • US Size 13 (9.0 mm) DPNs
  • Fur/faux fur pom pom (optional)
  • Stitch marker(s)
  • Tapestry needle and scissors

Dimensions

Circumference: 20” unstretched at the brim. Height: 7.5” with the brim folded up.
