Meet Tommy Brock, the grouchy badger in Beatrix Potter’s book “The Tale of Mr. Tod”.

He’s been to visit the rabbit family and stole the baby rabbits, which he later hid in Mr. Fox’s oven. Mr. Fox tries to tease Tommy out of his house, but Tommy was too smart and the story ends with them rolling off in a fight down the hill while Benjamin Rabbit saves his babies.
A perfectly lovely Beatrix Potter story that has plenty of humor and beautiful pictures. One of these was the inspiration for the yarn and of course I wanted a Tommy B. Badger on my socks!

Use a single colour yarn for the whole sock or add a contrast colour heel and toe, or stripes, or just a touch of contrast to the cuff and toe.
The sock starts with a rolled edge hem, there is a page extra with a picture tutorial how to do this.
The badger is fully charted and there are also computer generated written instructions for the chart.

And a Bonus shortie sock pattern! The final pages of the pattern include the instructions how to knit a shortie pair with the badger on the foot!

For a how –to on the 5 stitch bobble for the eyes

special thanks to MargiBorck for testing once again!
