Skill Level: Intermediate, due to integrated lace and cables.
Materials: Approx. 360-400 yds (330-365m) of sock yarn. I recommend a solid, light colored yarn to show off the pattern. The socks pictured are a size medium and are shown in Madeline Tosh Twist Light in the color Black Walnut.
Needles: US1 (2.25mm) sock needles. The pattern is written for DPNs but magic loop knitters can use stitch markers to note needle positions.
Tools: Cable needle (even if you don’t usually use one, I strongly recommend having one for this sock!), tapestry needle, scissors, and a measuring tape.
Sizing: Small (Medium, Large) socks measure 8(9,10) inches or 20(22.5,25) cm in circumference. Leg height, ankle depth, and foot length are all adjustable to fit and preference.
Gauge: 8 stitches and 12 rounds per inch/2.5cm in stockinette stitch.
