Tomten Hat
Gauge: 5.5 sts = 1 inch. Note: You can vary hat size with gauge and yarn choice
Size #7 US needles (or size needed to obtain gauge)
Main Color: Infant - 80 yds, Child – 95 yds, Youth - 130 yds, Adult Small – 155 yds, Adult Large - 170 yds
Contrasting Color: Infant: 20 yds, Child 25 yds, Youth 35 yds, Adult Small 45 yds, Adult Large 50 yds
Size (Circumference): Infant 13”, Child 15”,
Youth 17 ½”, Adult Small 20”, Adult Large 22”
The Tomten Hat is an easy to knit, comfortable to wear, hat with a bit of whimsy. Knit at 4 1/2 stitches per inch in Brown Sheep Lamb’s Pride Worsted Weight yarn, it is a manageable and economical weekend project. The sizes range from infant to adult.
