Tonn means wave in Irish and this fair isle hat has a wave & sail motif with a six-pointed star crown.

The design was inspired by the walled harbour in my home town. Carrickfergus Harbour is Norman built in the 12th-century, made during the construction of Carrickfergus Castle.

The hat has two sections just like the harbour - the bottom part is waves of the sea and the top part is the sails of the boats.
