Tony the Horse
This pattern is no longer available.
I designed this amigurumi horse for Crafters Gallery in Saratoga Springs, NY, the town that is famous for the oldest annual horse races in the world. I tried to make the toy with different types of yarn, but I discovered that the Drops Alpaca looks and feels the best. I love the natural color and the toy is nice and soft.
The crochet horse is perfect for kids who love horses or just animals in general. It can be also a nice rustic decoration, depending on what yarn you choose to work with.
The tutorial is 10 pages long, it includes written instructions with photos. The pattern could be considered beginner friendly, since you only need to know the chain, single crochet, and the slip stitch. You will also need to do some sewing and embroidery.
