Tooley Owl
This is a basic knitting pattern to make a stuffed toy owl, ideal for beginner knitters or if you are new to making toys.
Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the owl is knitted in acrylic DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round).
NEEDLES
A pair of 3.5mm single pointed knitting needles (US 4)
RECOMMENDED YARN
Sirdar Hayfield Bonus DK; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic; one skein in each colour
NOTIONS
Tapestry needle, toy filling, buttons and felt fabric for the eyes and beak.
SIZES
One size only - 11cm tall x 12cm wide.
TECHNIQUES
For beginners and above, other techniques used include knit, purl, seaming, changing colour at the end of a row to knit stripes, and a k2tog decrease.
