Abbreviations in US terms:
• ch – chain
• sl st – slip stitch
• sc – single crochet
• dc – double crochet
• tc – treble crochet
• picot – 3chains, turn and sl st into 3rd ch from the hook.
• inc – increase (2sc in the same stitch)
