This pattern is my own design for a knitted top and skirt. It is designed to fit an 18” American Girl doll.

The top is fully open in the back with 3 buttonholes for ease of dressing and is knit flat and top-down. The skirt has a ribbed waist and is also knit flat.

Pattern will be sent as a PDF document.

Materials:
• Super Fine or Fingering weight yarn (such as Loops & Threads Woolike Yarn) in two colours (approximately 150m of each colour)
• 2.75 mm needles
• 3 buttons for the top
• one yarn needle

Gauge:
32 stitches = 10 cm / 4 inches using 2.75 mm needles

Techniques/Stitches:
o k1tbl – knit one through back loop
o p1tbl – purl one through back loop
o M1L – make one left
o M1R – make one right
o LC – (left cross) knit into the back of the 2nd stitch (passing behind the 1st stitch) then knit the 1st stitch, slipping both stitches to the right needle at the same time.
o RC – (right cross) knit into the 2nd stitch (passing in front of the 1st stitch) then knit the 1st stitch, slipping both stitches to the right needle at the same time.
o sl1wyif / sl2wyif – slip 1 (or 2) stitches, with the yarn in front.
