Top-Down Toolbox Socks
by Felicia Lo
I’ve been using this basic pattern for knitting socks from the cuff down ever since I started knitting socks. They are quick and easy. With a skein of sock yarn, I can generally knit a pair of socks with a 6” (15 cm) leg and still end up with about one ounce (30 g) of yarn left!
FINISHED SIZE
Stretches to fit an 8” (20.5 cm) ankle circumference.

Shown here: 400 yards of fingering-weight yarn SweetGeorgia Yarns Tough Love Sock (80% superwash merino, 20% nylon; 425 yd 388 m/4 oz 115 g): Blueberry Jam, 1 skein.
