This great little vintage inspired onesie pattern is so perfect for boys! In the winter, make it out of a wool blend, for warmth & layering. In the summer, make it out of a light pima cotton, & pair it up with some baby sandals.
Plus, it’s SO easy, after you have made it once, you will likely be able to sail through the pattern in just a few hours.
Perfect for beginners!!
You will need 3 different colors of yarn, in the weight needed for the size you want to make, along with the corresponding hook size, 7 or 8 buttons, & a darning needle for weaving in ends.
I originally made up this pattern out of frustration, for lack of finding very many “boy” crochet projects out there that really scream “BOY!” When I found out my daughter was expecting a son, I scavenged the internet for easy, fast, cute, BOY patterns, & found that there was a real lack. Most of the patterns, though slated for boys, were much more suited for girls. As a result, I went on a pattern-making spree, with vintage 1920’s & 1930’s patterns in mind, & developed this onesie, along with several sweaters, pants, hats, & even a vintage look swimsuit! specially designed for your BOY!
