Toddler-Children’s Top Hat
This pattern is designed to fit all small heads and if you use a thicker yarn and slightly bigger hook it can fit larger heads too!
The brim can also be either flat or curled.

You will need:
Crochet hook size G 4.25mm at most (unless making it a larger size with a thicker yarn)
Any color 4ply Medium worsted weight yarn.
I used Red Heart Super Saver in a dark brown (and a black for the inside), and Red Heart Stripes in “Favorite Stripe” for the Hat Band section, but any 4-ply medium worsted weight yarns should work.
NOTE: To keep the walls of this hat firm, you should stick with a firm yarn and a (at least somewhat) tight weave. If that means you need a smaller hook to get that tighter weave, that’s fine, but keep in mind it could make the hat a bit smaller. (Does not need to be needle-breaking tight)

You will need approximately 1-2 skeins, maybe 3, depending on the yarn you get.
The Hat Band is less than 1/4 skein.

Stitch markers are helpful with this pattern, even if you just use a scrap thread of yarn for it. You can also use stitch markers in more places than are suggested in this pattern.
