This easy baby hat is one that I consider to be both a wonderful addition to your prop stash and a fabulous baby shower gift, too. It works wonderfully for both baby girls and baby boys.

This pattern is well-suited to an advanced beginner as it is knit in the round and requires you to know how to knit an i-cord (I include video links for these techniques, as well).

It requires worsted weight weight yarn on 5mm (US8) needles (yardage included in pattern). You will need to know how to cast on and off, knit, purl, knit two stitches together, and knit a 3 stitch i-cord.

MY GAUGE: 18 sts + 24 rows = 10x10 cms / 4”X4”
