El Top Mariquilla está inspirado en la localidad española de Sevilla, una ciudad marcada por el contraste cultural y de una belleza excepcional, con bellísimos monumentos, entre los que cabe destacar la Giralda (la torre de la Catedral), y hermosas calles y plazas con olor a azahar.

Este top se teje de arriba abajo (top-down). Se comienza tejiendo el cuello en circular. A continuación, se ponen en espera los puntos de la espalda y los hombros y se teje el delantero en plano. Después, se deja el delantero en espera y se teje la espalda también en plano. Seguidamente se unen el delantero y la espalda y se trabaja el cuerpo en circular. Por último, se hace el borde de las sisas.

Como bonus, tienes la opción de bordar también las Mariquillas, los famosos broches de la Esperanza Macarena.

TALLAS Y MEDIDAS
1 (2: 3: 4) (5: 6: 7).
Las medidas indicadas (en cm) se refieren a la prenda terminada. Te aconsejo una holgura de unos 15 cm. Para elegir tu talla, mide tu contorno de pecho y súmale 15 cm.

HILADO
Silk Me Lace de Greta and the fibers (75% merino/25% seda) (800 m/100 g) tejido doble. En la muestra se ha usado el color 710.

También puedes usar cualquier otro hilado de grosor lace (aprox. 800 m/100 g) de una composición similar tejido doble o un hilado de grosor fingering (aprox. 400 m/100 g) de una composición similar tejido con una sola hebra.

El metraje indicado a continuación para cada talla se refiere al hilado lace tomado doble o al fingering a una sola hebra. Si usas lace, necesitarás el doble de metros para poder ponerlo doble.

Fácil. Necesitarás montar y cerrar puntos, hacer aumentos básicos del derecho y conocer el montaje de lazada retorcida.

The Top Mariquilla is inspired by the Spanish city of Seville, a city marked by its cultural contrasts and exceptional beauty, with its stunning monuments, among which you can count the Giralda (the Cathedral tower), and it’s beautiful streets and squares full of the scent of orange blossom.

This top is worked top-down. It begins with the neck worked in the round, then the back and shoulder stitches are placed on hold while the front is worked flat. After working the front, these stitches are placed on hold while the back is worked flat. Once the front and back have been worked down to the same point, they are joined to work in the round again. To finish, an edging is added to the armholes.

As a bonus, you also have the option to embroider Mariquillas – the famous brooches of the Virgin Esperanza Macarena – onto your finished top.

The measurements (in cm) indicated here refer to the finished item. I would advise making your top with around 15cm of positive ease. To choose your size, measure around your chest and add 15cm.

YARN
Silk Me Lace from Greta and the fibers (75% merino/25% silk) (800m/100g) held double. The sample shown used colour 710.

You can also use any lace weight yarn (approx. 800m/100g) of a similar fibre content held double or a fingering weight yarn (approx. 400m/100g) of a similar fibre content held single.

The meterage indicated in the following table for each size refers to the lace weight held double or the fingering weight held single. If you are using a lace weight yarn, you will need double the stated amount in order to hold it double.

DIFFICULTY LEVEL AND REQUIRED PREVIOUS KNOWLEDGE
Easy. You will need to be able to cast on and bind off, make basic increases and be familiar with the backwards loop cast-on.

Il Top Mariquilla è ispirato alla città di Siviglia, famosa per i suoi contrasti culturali e la sua eccezionale bellezza, per i suoi straordinari monumenti tra i quali la Giralda (la torre della cattedrale) e le sue molte strade e piazze avvolte dalla meravigliosa fragranza dei fiori d’arancio.

Questo top è lavorato top-down. Prima si lavora il collo in tondo, poi il davanti in piano, lasciando in attesa le maglie del dietro e delle spalle. Terminato il davanti, si lasciano in attesa le maglie e si lavora il dietro in piano finché, entrambi alla stessa altezza, li si unisce di nuovo in tondo. Per finire, si aggiunge un bordo al giromanica.

Come bonus, potete scegliere di rifinire lo scialle ricamando delle Mariquillas, le famose spille della vergine Esperanza Macarena.

TAGLIE E MISURE

Le misure qui indicate (in cm) si riferiscono al capo finito. Ti suggerisco di lavorare il tuo top con un agio positivo di circa 15cm. Per scegliere la tua taglia, aggiungi 15cm alla misura del tuo busto.

FILATO
Silk Me Lace di Greta and the fibers (75% merino/25% seta) (800m/100g) lavorato doppio. Per l’esempio mostrato è stato usato il colore 710.

Puoi anche usare qualunque filato lace (circa 800m/100g) con una composizione simile, lavorato doppio, oppure un filato fingering (circa 400m/100g) sempre con una composizione simile, lavorato da solo.

Il metraggio indicato per ogni taglia nella tabella in calce si riferisce al filato lace lavorato doppio o al filato fingering lavorato da solo. Se usi un filato lace, per poterlo lavorare doppio avrai bisogno di una quantità doppia rispetto a quella indicata.
