This pattern is a baby version similar to my popular adult hats Spruce and Where the Forest Meets the sky. If you knit this version and post as a project, I’ll also send you those for free.

The hat can be made with regular stranded knitting or ladderback jackard; the latter gives great results for high contrast wool, but requires a bit more work.

I have included a plain chart and a chart detailing the ladderback jackard stitches.

One Size. Hat is made 30cm circumference, to fit baby.

Hat is made with fingering yarn,
A Dark (15g / 53m / 57yds)
B Light (15g / 53m / 57yds)

2.5mm (US 1.5) and 2.5mm (US 2.5) needles required.
