The openwork pattern reminds me of the fine craftsmanship - beautifully carved intricate geometric ornaments in the Eastern architecture. The panel with the “crochet carving” :) is in front of the top, back is made in one piece so that this garment widens towards the bottom and slightly drapes around hips. Top can be worn during pregnancy - it’s fitted at bust level with positive ease over your belly.

Choosing the right YARN and HOOK to achieve great results

Suitable yarn for this project: loosely woven mixed yarn of 50 % cotton, 50 % rayon approx. 420 m in 100 gr (460 yds in 3.5 oz). It equals to 4 ply (UK, AU, NZ), Fingering (USA), 1 or Superfine (standard yarn weight system).
Substitute yarn: cotton with bamboo, silk, tencel or soya.

Yarn usage:
260/290/310/340/360 gr of black and 60 gr of blue colour;
9.2/10.2/10.9/11.9/12.7 oz of black and 2 oz of blue colour;
Yardage: between 1200 and 1650 yards of black (depending on your size) plus some blue yarn. Usage of blue yarn is the same for all sizes.

Hooks 2 and 3 mm.

This crochet pattern is provided for sizes:
S with bust circumference 81-85 cm (32-33.5’’);
M with bust 89-93 cm (35-36.5’’);
L with bust 96-100 cm (38-39.5’’);
XL with bust 104-108 cm (41-42.5’’);
XXL with bust 112-116 cm (44-45.5’’).
