Topaz
Pattern is fully charted and written.
Working with the Topaz color and thinking about everything November brings with it…. colder temperatures, fallen leaves, warm fires, heavier sweaters, family holidays… I couldn’t help but let those things influence this shawl. Oak leaves adorn the wingspan and a single cable travels diagonally from edge to edge.
Topaz is worked on the bias with increases at one edge and decreases at the other. The smaller option creates a long narrow shawlette/scarf. The larger size creates a wider, but not longer, shawl. A small cable is worked along one edge as you knit and then a matching cable border is knit on at the end instead of binding off. The pieces finishes with a small 5-stitch kitchener stitch to join the cables.
