Topography celebrates the rustic and tweedy natural wool fiber of Plied North Ave 2ply fingering.

This ruana has wide fronts and back with the option to partially seam the sides to form arm openings. The construction is a long rectangle knit side to side, beginning with the bottom back. At half its length, the rectangle is divided and knit one section at a time to create the fronts of the ruana. Seed stitch edges form neat outer borders for the uncomplicated knit and purl stitch patterns of the body.

The name Topography refers to mapped patterns of both natural and constructed landscapes. Stitch patterns depict early American industry and agriculture, like railroads, furrowed fields, and road crossings.

Topography is written for a shorter size 1 and a longer size 2.
