Tor Pullover
Cables and a tweed yarn in the same sweater, what could be a better combo for fall? This pullover includes a cable that I had been toying with the idea of working, namely a traveling cable that’s worked with a twist stitch. On each side of the diamond at the center front and back, as well as on each sleeve, there are cables that zigzag back and forth, but are worked over 2 stitches that twist every other round/row.
This long sleeve pullover is shown as a turtleneck, but instructions for mock neck and crewneck versions are included.
The body is worked in the round from the bottom up and includes waist shaping for a more flattering fit. After dividing for the armholes, the shoulders are shaped using German short-rows, then the stitches joined using a Norwegian-inspired two-needle bind-off that resembles a small cable.
The sleeves are worked in the round from the cuff up, then after binding off at the underarm length, the cap is worked back and forth.
